Though my main grip with the handling is it often feel twitchy,ecspeccialy so when you reach the fastest cars. The handling model is fantastic and reminds me heavily of GRID,mixing both arcade and realism to give something for everyone. But each and every track is perfect in it's layout. Each track in shift is a real life track,though some background scenery has been modified to make the view more appealing. ![]() The car models all look great and the game runs at a smooth framerate. Cockpit view is incredibly detailed and accurate to real life,and the view moves forward and back with acceleration and braking giving a very realistic feeling, Ecspeccialy when you hit a wall and your vision goes fuzzy and black and white. The Graphics are superb,and the cockpit view is heavily pushed by the game. ![]() But if you ignore that and take it as a standalone racer then Shift can stand up there with the best. And that shines through in shift,those hoping for a return to illegal street racing are in for a dissapointment as Shift keeps it legal. It's devoloped my Slightly Mad Studio's who's history is mainly in racing sim's for the PC. Need For Speed Shift is the latest outing in the series which has been failing since the golden days of Underground 1 & 2 (or Most Wanted depending on your view) Shift is the first game in there latest scheme to gain back the old NFS glory. ![]()
